Getting Things Done

Short update here! I finally uploaded a bunch of videos to YouTube – some I’d simply forgotten to upload, others needed polishing up. I made them all this year, some months and months old, but I didn’t think to upload them in order. They’re also all different quality as well as far as editing. Anyway, check them out here, I hope you like them. :)

Hint: Some of them are for Eleven and Clara. ;)

good news

I’m so exited! Three main reasons. First of all, I’ve finally finished The Falcon Paradox at a whopping 35,000 words! It’s so gratifying to finish a project. I have yet to decide whether to share the story online – I’ll just have to give it some thought. Here is an edit I did for the story – don’t even ask how I pieced all this together. XD

sam-and-saoirse-copyrightedSecond of all, the Mockingjay Part 2 trailer! Oh my gosh! I can’t even tell you how excited I am (well, I could, but it would take way too much time :P ). I’m planning a post listing my favorite moments from the trailer. :)

Third of all, I think I forgot to mention watching the trailer for Series 9 of Doctor Who. It’s super creepy and just a little crazy, but it is exciting and there’s one moment I don’t think anyone can overlook. And I must confess it made me way more excited than it should’ve…

Fav series 9 momentThe hug. The Twelfth Doctor seems to get over his dislike of hugging, and truthfully that makes me very happy. The Doctor just isn’t the same if he’s not comforted by a hand to hold or a hug.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll be back soon with a post about the trailer for Mockingjay Part 2. Until then… :)

Trailer for Mockingjay Part 2!!!

It’s come! It’s finally here! The first trailer for Mockingjay Part 2! I literally had problems going to sleep last night because I was so excited. It’s terrible, I know, that I didn’t find it until yesterday. But I literally had to not think about the next movie in order to be patient, so no wonder I forgot to check for a trailer. Anyway, without further ado, here are some screen captures I got of the trailer. Having read the Hunger Games trilogy three times, I recognize just about everything in it from the book. I’m so excited!!! XD mockingjay_part_2_trailer

Frozen Fever Items in the Disney Store!!!

Hello, peeps! I’m doing a quick update to tell you about that Disney Store update. Frozen Fever arriving in March, they’ve released some cool new stuff in their Frozen store. Namely, new classic dolls:

I know, right? For $34.95, you can get these two together in their new outfits from Frozen Fever. I’m so pleased! They each have detailed, beautiful clothes, and might I point out…Elsa’s shoes? She finally has those ice beauties she wore throughout Frozen! Of course, Anna is just adorable. I love her little vest. Overall, I’m just really happy to see a unique new set that’s so affordable.

But still no sign of Honey Lemon and Go Go dolls in the Big Hero 6 store. I’m so sad – and actually quite worried that they’ve sold out completely and won’t be back in stock…ever. Like with the adorable talking Vanellope doll they released a few years back. You can’t find her new in the box for less than like…eighty dollars. It’s so frustrating, because I love that character and can’t get her. I’m so upset that it might be the same with Go Go now! :(

But I’ll keep my eyes open and let you know when/if there’s a change. :)

what would a disney tabloid look like?

The Disney ChronicleI’ve seen people do this – stuff on Pinterest, around the Internet on photo hunts. Making a magazine about Disney characters as if they were real. I know that this idea is not original. But I couldn’t resist. It sounded like such fun, plus I haven’t done anything in Photoshop lately. So here we are: The Disney Chronicle. :)

Hope you like!

Hobbits & Monkeys

So…it’s been a busy holiday season. I had the privilege of seeing The Hobbit – The Battle of the Five Armies in theaters, and visiting the Disney Store, as you may have seen on my Instagram. While I’m still making up my mind about the movie, my first impression was that I loved it. XD

But while I was at the Disney Store I saw the preview for Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom, which features Lorde’s song “Team.” Although it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, I’m not going to stop trying to understand its whole meaning, and in the meantime I do like it. My sister did too, and when she bought it, she asked me to make her a new album cover for iTunes.

Since she bought only Team, I made a cover for just that song. When I imported it into iTunes as the new album cover, I also turned it into a single (changed the name of the album, etc.). So here it is!

I guess it’s very minimalist, but not as much as the original cover for Pure Heroine. I made probably four or five different covers for it, and finally settled on this one, since it’s one of my favorite photos of Ella. Anyway, one of these days I’ll post a simple tutorial for those of you who may not know how to change album covers in iTunes. That may sound like an insult, but it’s not. Really, I didn’t know for the longest time and I don’t think I found a good tutorial.

Actually, if I’m honest, the main reason I want to make a tutorial is because I want to make a tutorial. I figure it’s the most interesting thing I’ll be posting for some time. :P

Amori

So, the writing bug has bitten. Original stories haven’t worked out for me in quite a while, but I’m gonna try my hand at fan fiction. I bet you can’t possibly guess what for! Yes, The Hunger Games. I’ve been itching to write something in first person present (the style of The Hunger Games), and I wasn’t getting inspiration. But then I got the fan fiction idea, and I’ve started working on…

Born in District 12, Amori has been preparing herself for fighting in the event that she might get reaped for The Hunger Games. Instead, when she helps evacuate people from District 12 in the bombing, she’s swept into aiding the rebel forces now overtaking Panem.

The banner above is a fun project I thought would help spur me on in writing the story, which will probably end up being anywhere between 15 and 30,000 words long. This is how the graphic came about:

Yes, Gale will be in this story. I wanted something to tether Amori and her separate plot to the original series, so I think she and Gale will form a friendship while in District 13. That’s where most of the story will probably take place, hence Hailee Steinfeld wearing Beetee’s uniform. ;P

Anyway, I hope this doesn’t seem too corny. This project is purely for fun, so I guess it doesn’t really matter. I’ll probably be making more graphics for this story, possibly with quotes from my work. :)

it won’t stop.

I’m a Hunger Games fangirl. And I’m Team Peeta. And every once in a while I find the opportunity to explain why I’m not Team Gale. So without further ado, I present…my latest piece of fan art. :)
