Getting Things Done

Short update here! I finally uploaded a bunch of videos to YouTube – some I’d simply forgotten to upload, others needed polishing up. I made them all this year, some months and months old, but I didn’t think to upload them in order. They’re also all different quality as well as far as editing. Anyway, check them out here, I hope you like them. :)

Hint: Some of them are for Eleven and Clara. ;)

See You Soon

Hello! I’m still alive! I’m beginning to think that blogging is just the opposite of how I’m wired or something. Anyway, I’m here today because of a song called “I Found.” You may have heard it. It’s by Amber Run and I’ve been hearing it in videos for Doctor Who, Marvel, etc., for a long while now. It grew on me and naturally, I decided to check out some of Amber Run’s other songs.

One of them being, “See You Soon.” It seemed like a really fun vidding song and I figured I hadn’t made a video the Eleventh Doctor and Clara in a while, so I whipped something up. It’s nothing spectacular, but I thought it was sweet. You can click here to watch. Hope you like it! :)

The Evolution of Clara Oswald

jenna

Hello! I know I’ve done a lot of Doctor Who posts, but I don’t think I’ve done many just for the sake of discussing the show. But Clara being one of my very favorite companions, and knowing the mixed reactions to her character arc throughout her time on the show, I really wanted to share my opinion. And I mean, this really is just my opinion and I respect the Whovians who completely disagree with me on Clara. Also, there could be possible spoilers. ;) Continue reading

Hold My Hand

Hey, folks! Finally got around to posting. And guess what? I uploaded a new Doctor Who video! As I talk about in the description on YouTube, it’s far from my best, but it’s finished. XD

I also mentioned how I’m actually a little embarrassed about some of the videos I have on YouTube. When I started vidding, I was obviously inexperienced, and it didn’t help that I didn’t have much material either. I’ll be excited to polish up my better, more recent videos so you can see that I actually have made progress in my skills. So my new upload isn’t anything spectacular, but I enjoyed making it (click here if you wanna watch it).

It’s about one of my many hopeless ships: Eleven and Clara. One time when I was out shopping I heard bits and pieces of “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne, and I always wondered what song it was. It wasn’t until I watched a music video with “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit (featuring Jess Glynne) that I got interested in her music and found this song. I immediately thought that it would be perfect for Eleven and Clara, and so the video happened. I hope you guys like it! :)

imovie & who

Hey there. Been a while. I’ve been feverishly not writing and actually living in iMovie. Very soon, I’m going to have a few new uploads on YouTube. ^.^

Anyhow, forgot to post these back when I first watched The Eleventh Hour. Just because I love these scenes, and let’s face it, he’s still in that place after regenerating where he’s doing things like saying “what” three times just like the Tenth.

twenty-five thousand

Hello, folks. I’ve made it to 25,000 words in The Falcon Paradox! I don’t think I mentioned it, but 30,000 was my original goal and it looks like I’m going to meet it. I’m super excited about that, since a lot of my projects don’t get finished. I’m working on an edit for the story, introducing one of the other characters, but I’m not sure when it will be finished. I’ve had so much fun doing artwork for this story! Since I don’t have any new art to share with you though, I might as well share a sneak peak from the story itself.

I know this won’t last forever. Which is why I have to appreciate every moment of it, even if it hurts. Even when it’s hard. Even if it breaks my heart. Impulsively, I reach out and grab his hand without taking my eyes off the woman. His skin is warm and rough and firm against mine and I relish the feeling.

After a minute I let my gaze wander to his face, and my heart skips a beat when I find him looking at me. But I don’t look away. Not like that first time. I let our eyes lock, and I hope it tells him all the things I will never say.

Can’t say who the people are in this scene, and I’m sorry if it doesn’t make sense – you kind of have to read it in context. XD

Anyways, I hope you like it and find it intriguing. :)

The Falcon Paradox

the falcon paradox blog versionI promised, didn’t I? The Falcon Paradox is the title of my latest writing project, a fan fiction for Doctor Who. This story started out in a TARDIS notebook that I bought recently, but it was only a handwritten rough draft. Using a prologue from a story I never finished, I’m turning it into something substantial and, I hope, quality. As for the synopsis? Here goes nothing.

Saoirse (pronounced SEER-shuh) is a nineteen-year-old from Croydon, England, who’s just moved away from home in hopes that she can leave her dark past and her mediocre life behind. However, it seems that trouble is lurking around every corner in this new life, and the arrival of a stranger during an untimely accident is no exception.

That stranger is the puzzling Doctor, who seems determined to unravel Saoirse like a mystery. Why has his peculiar spaceship, the TARDIS, lead him to her? Why are these strange creatures from outer space hunting her? These are the questions that will lead Saoirse on the greatest journey of her life, and will ultimately teach her that love is a promise, that living life is a choice, and that both will be worth it, no matter how hard they prove to be.

I really wanted to do something clever with this story, because if you’re doing something for Doctor Who, you’ve gotta do the show a little justice. I also started reading one of the books in the Doctor Who history collection, which encouraged me because it wasn’t something totally extraordinary, it was just a good, intriguing story that fit the characters really well. Which I figured, I could do too.

I’ve had some fun putting together some edits for this story based off of some of the scenes I’ve written, so I thought I’d share a couple with you. I might as well say, the Doctor takes Saoirse to America to see New York City, which is a really magical scene in the story that I had so much fun writing, I had to make a graphic for it…

Of course you’ve probably noticed that I’ve used Elle Fanning for Saoirse. I was looking on Pinterest for character inspiration, and Elle was the only girl who seemed to fit the character. I had also seen her in Maleficent, so I knew what she sounded like with a British accent, which made it easier to picture her for Saoirse. I might have some more edits to share in the future – I’ll just have to see.

I have no idea whether I’m going to post the story, or even when it will be finished, so I’ll just have to play it by ear. Anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope it’s been interesting. I’m sure I’ll be back with more Doctor Who edits in the future. :)

The New “Human” Music Video For Doctor Who

Click on the photo to watch the video.

So I finally did it! I got the updated version of the video on YouTube! I’ve changed quite a few things, and I’m finally satisfied with how it turned out, so I think you guys will like the changes. I’ll also be taking the old version down. I really, really hope you think it’s an improvement. Feel free to let me know what you think! :)

taking it slower

Hey, guys. Hope you like my new header! I still have not uploaded my remake of “Human.” Don’t worry, it will be soon! I’ve just been pretty busy lately. I have some news, though. I’ve started a new fan fiction, this time for Doctor Who. No surprise there, I guess. I’m not sure how long it will be and I’m not going to come up with an estimate for how much time it will take me to finish it.

I realize I’ve had a lot of ambitious ideas that I’ve posted about on this blog, but life has taken me in different directions. Sometimes very chaotic and stressful directions that haven’t left much room for creative projects. I’m putting some things on the back burner, like my #NightLight blog, my Hunger Games fan fiction, etc.. I feel a bit like I’ve failed in these things, but really, I’m just waiting to continue working on them until my life’s more settled. I have no idea when that will be, but I still plan on returning to these things.

Those of you who keep up with my blog, thanks for your patience. XD If I can find the time and energy, I’m going to post about my fan fiction. Right now, I’m just trying to write the thing. And my remake of “Human” will be uploaded to YouTube soon. :)

strong enough

Using Taylor Swift’s simple lyrics in B.o.B.’s song Both of Us, I put together a video as a tribute to the Tenth Doctor and his companions. All of them had such strength, each of a unique kind. And someday, they would be strong enough to lift each other. Click to watch. :)

strong enough

P.S. Shortly after publishing my Doctor Who music video set to Christina Perri’s hit “Human”, I watched The Beast Below. Yes, I have finally met the Eleventh Doctor. Saying goodbye to the Tenth is a story for another day, but I’d like to point out something very key that the Doctor says to Amy in his second episode. After she makes a mistake that angers the Doctor greatly, he reminds her that she is only human.

Naturally, I couldn’t resist using this scene to reinvent my video. While I was at it, I found a few other things I felt could be changed in making the video better. I’m so much more satisfied with it now, and I hope to get it posted soon. I’ll be taking the original down, so you might want to watch it one last time before I post the new one. :)
